The non-profit organization « Les Leçons de l’Histoire &Nous » (LH&N) is using a teaching method first experimented at Harvard University and used successfully since 1976 by the international NGO « Facing History and Ourselves » (FHAO), whose website is www.facinghistory.org.
It is a politically neutral organization, whose mission is to study CIVIC VALUES and the DANGERS OF INDIFFERENCE and to help our country’s teachers develop a critical approach to a complex history, and in particular, periods of collective violence.
Theobjectives of the non-profit organization « Les Leçons de l’Histoire &Nous» (LH&N) are to introduce this teaching method to our country’s teachers, to assist them in the fight against all forms of exclusion and to help them help their students become responsible citizens. It also provides them with all the documents and resources they will need.
